  2. In case you don’t know what he content of this book is, read other reviews to get a gist. So this guy claims that in order to become thin you eat whatever you want whenever you want. What do you think the people in the USA have been doing for the past 50+ years? What condition is the general health of the US population? WAKE UP PEOPLE!!! The very reason this nation is suffering from obesity and degenerative diseases is because of the industrialization of the food industry and people’s indifference to what is fed to them through advertising and media. Proper nutrition is the cornerstone of optimum health and wellness. I do not by any means underestimate the power of the mind, in fact I believe the mind is the most powerful tool that was given to the human species. And that tool is being used against you! Listen to your inner voice and reason, do you really think that stuffing your face with macdonalds and burger king will make you thin? Do you think that chugging sugar-packed soda will help you lose weight? There is a war going on for your mind, and in case you never heard this before, he that controls the food controls the population. Do some research about the chemicals that are put into foods today. There is a movement by the world elite to dumb down the general population to suppress free thinkers and potential powerful leaders from emerging and challenging the authority, which thrives on the weakness of others and is driven by material greed and an unending quest for power. This sounds like one of their tools, subtle yet frighteningly effective, using people’s own minds against them. We have become complacent and apathetic, and some author telling us that what we have been doing for years is the answer to our health problems rings a very comfortable chord with most and reinforces the concept that everything we have been doing was the right way. Oh yes, this will sell beyond any doubt considering the damage already done to the population of this once great nation. WAKE UP, look around you, and think for yourselves for once. Don’t let these greedy manipulators tell you how to lead your life. The war for your mind is in full effect and has been for quite some time now. Start using your mind like it was intended by the creator and you shall see past the lies that have a hold on your life. Only the truth shall set you free. I wish all peace and love.

  3. This book doesn’t have reasonable tips. Holding my fingers on certain parts of my body is not going to make my craving go away…

  4. In “I Can Make You Thin”, McKenna takes 20-year-old ideas, alters them or tweaks the wording just enough to avoid a lawsuit, and regurgitates them back to you for fifteen bucks. Does it work? Of course it works! It’s been working ever since other people proposed them a long time ago.

And it’s all available free over the Internet.

McKenna is selling old ideas wrapped up in fancy packaging. Don’t believe it. And don’t buy it.

  5. I was a skeptic when I first got the book, but I shouldn’t have been. I should have known that I’m the only one who can make me thin. I read the book, and tried using the cd a few times, and did not find it at all helpful. I cannot believe there are so many rave reviews of this book. Why? Have these people never read a diet book before? His writing is fine, but the information is nothing new. I have been a lifetime dieter, yo-yoer, and found nothing especially helpful or special about his book. Yes, I have a library of diet and nutrition related books, and most of them offer much more information and helpful techniques than what I found here.

I would also say that Weight Watchers is the number one technique for long-term and permanent (or nearly permanent) weight loss. I lost over 50 pounds through Weight Watchers, and over the years some has crept back on. I thought maybe this book could help me, but NO! Not a pound. I’m back at Weight Watchers now, and have lost 6 pounds over the past 3 weeks. (No, I do not work for Weight Watchers, and I have not been paid to endorse their program. Just telling it like it is.)
